When did you start making art?  I’ve always gravitated toward the opportunity to experience both visual and performance art.

Did you always want to be an artist? What are some other jobs you have had?

I studied art history at the University of Virginia. I was grateful for the introduction to art as politics, religion, history and social commentary, that art can, ultimately, offer to the viewer an engaged experience.

How did you end up in Livingston?

I came in 1991 and never have found reason to leave.

Who inspires you?

Those who bring beauty to the world by questioning, exploring and seeking to understand our commonality and shared condition. Mapplethorpe, Patti Smith and Banksy come to mind.

What is your soundtrack while you work?
Everything from Bach’s Cello Suites to Beyonce can inspire my day.

What’s your favorite thing about Livingston?
Community, community, community

Where do you like to eat?

Wheatgrass Saloon, of course;)
